waimakariri sustainable house design
Introducing the Waimakariri Sustainable House Design, completed in 2018 for the O'Loughlin family. This passive-designed residence was meticulously crafted to endure the harsh winter conditions of rural Canterbury while embracing the region's warm summer climate. It features Formance SIP panels with an EPS core R7.2 of 265mm and a fully insulated MAXRaft slab, showcasing a commitment to sustainable and efficient living.
The innovative use of Formance SIP panels enabled rapid assembly, much like building with LEGO, while the high R values and Pro Clima building wrap ensure a warm and cozy retreat during winter and a cool oasis in summer. This project exemplifies the perfect blend of design, functionality, and environmental awareness, making it an exceptional representation of sustainable architecture in the Alpine Lifestyle category, underscoring the expertise of architectural design.
